Remembering 911 in 2009 A.D.

Photos from www.bing.com Images

Before 911, the emergency crisis, like the twin towering buildings we saw the light. After the 911 emergency crisis, like burning buildings, our economy is something no one or group wants to touch. Most of the individuals that made important financial decisions for the US died. Many emergency workers, police, fireman, and paramedics became apart of the fallen.

Not everyone believes in praying, if not, please take time to say a positive statement or two a day to counter the negativity that terrorist, , and our armed conflict enemies send.

From The U.S. Forrest Service The Firefight Continues in Little Tujunga Canyon

U.S. Forrest Service- September 3, 2009 the U.S. Forrest Service released this message about the wild fires:
Firefight continues in upper Little Tujunga Canyon near the Dillon Divide area. Heavy duty helicopters, called HeliTankers, are actively making water drops in support of ground crews there.

Commanders in the air are evaluating the smoke conditions in the Chilao area to determine if fixed wing aircraft can be deployed to slow the fire between Santiago Canyon and Bare Mountain. More than 30 aircraft are assigned or available to fight the fire today so maintaining visibility minimums are crucial to flight safety.

Plans are also in action to continue water and retardant drops near Mount Wilson. Crews have done a tremendous amount of work prepping the mountain top against the fire.

Crews are also working on completing containment lines by cleaning and brushing off existing truck trails above Sierra Madre.

Incident Commanders are pleased that residents in the areas of Acton, La Crescenta and La Canada-Flintridge areas were able return to their homes. They are well aware of how difficult the disruption to daily life can be when a wildfire forces people to flee so the decision to call for evacuations is never taken lightly. They will continue to actively review the areas under closure and lift those orders as soon as it is safe to do so. Again, the fire dictates our firefighting strategy and tactics and it is prudent for people in these areas to have a plan in place should conditions warrant.

If your are not sure that the fire is at a safe distance away please err on the side of safety and go to your pre-designated safe place. Don't wait for an order to evacuate. Visit http://www.fire.lacounty.gov/ for a downloadable document called "Ready, Set, Go! Your Wildfire Action Plan." Operations reported significant progress on constructed fire line during the overnight period. Divisions M, on the north side of the fire and Divisions E through W on the south side of the fire, remain quiet and in the mop-up phase.

Gender Verification: Medical Experts and Sex Assignment-Caster Semenya of South Africa

From :

Why would someone want to genetically engineer someone? What causes gender?

Athletes make a lot of money for schools, colleges, universities, and countries. Caster Semenya of South Africa is an example. Awarded a Gold Medal, possible sponsors as a result.

International Medical Ethics are important, with the death of and the question of the Doctor’s involvement, Medical Ethics have more issues to address than known.

Caster Semenya has caused medical doctors to examine the characteristics of male and female to determine gender, the biological line that is between male and female. In the 1960s Sex tests started when the Soviet-bloc were suspected of having males compete in female completions. Per the New York Times’ Friday, August 21, 2009 addition, these rigorous examinations include intrusive physical examinations and genetic analysis.

Because of Race, this gender issue can become clouded. Medical Ethics in the United States of America has a history or racism, the Tuskegee Experiment is an example, when Black Men were used to find out what syphilis does to the human body and denied medical care.

This Black-South African, Caster Semenya has the question raised, would gender come up if it were a European person. When it was a Soviet is was!

Federal Oversight Gone and Now Chief Bratton

Crisis Reporting by Tres Mali Scott 019 For more than 20 years the Los Angeles Police Department has had ups and down, good and bad. Federal Oversight is gone and now LAPD Chief William J. Bratton has resigned.

This is a new generation of problems and solutions. A new generation is gangs, a new generation of mafia, a new generation of politicians, the “Hope” of a Nation is with you.

Local and national newspapers, as well as, media print and the internet have reported new gangs like MS13 and the Israeli Mafia.

The new Chief may want to learn about some of the cultures from which these organizations come. With activities like it is difficult to discern crime from

America use to be a melting pot, people looked “Black” or “White”, many have changed to a “Mosaic”, but that “Mosaic” may still looked “Black” or “White”. Without a accent a American close, a “para-terrorist” looks like one of us.  and both have reports that discuss this problem, “para-terrorist” groups have been formally asked to “stop using civilians as shields”, this also sounds like “Identity Theft”.

What Do Americans Do During Crisis and Emergencies?

This topic is endorsed in part by the Writings of African-Americans and the by Tres Mali Scott 2nd & 3rd Place Pulitzer Center Citizen Journalist Award Winning Writer on Crisis Reporting.
Crisis Reporting by Tres Mali Scott
According to the American Heritage Dictionary, a crisis is a crucial or decisive point or situation, a turning point, an unstable condition, as in political, social, or economic affairs, involving an impending abrupt or decisive change.
An emergency, according to the American Heritage Dictionary is a serious situation or occurrence that happens unexpectedly and demands immediate action.
During crisis and emergencies, plans and procedures are used to reduce injuries and loss of life. National preparedness includes:
  • Terrorist and alerts,
  • The Emergency Broadcast System which interrupts television and radio broadcast to notify of emergencies,
  • Emergency shut down procedures to stop natural gas, water and electricity from leaking,
  • Emergency evacuation plans and procedures,
  • Emergency Drills,
  • Weather watches
  • Emergency agencies like , and
  • Marshall Law.
j0199388Results of crisis and emergency from para-terrorism, are Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Chronic Stress Disorder (A Paranormal Psychological Term). The difference between Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Chronic Stress Disorder is:
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is when the person experiences an event, explosion, crash, etc. The senses are involved.
is when the fallout or residual effect of an event effects or affects the or a population.
An example of a major event in the United States of America that caused both of these Disorders on a massive level and started an economic crisis is 911, also called the New York Bombing and the Oklahoma City Bombing that caused a part of the country that is less likely to experience trauma, traumatized and unstable on a statewide level. The on set:
  1. The individuals that actually experienced the bombings: Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
  2. The fallout or residual effects from the bombings- loss of jobs, loss of life, loss of emergency workers, deaths of children: .
As Americans, ways that we recover as individuals and families from crisis and emergencies include:
  • Counseling,
  • Recreational Activities,j0432787
  • Horticulture,
  • Exercise,
  • Hobbies,
  • Reading, and
  • Vacations.
In conclusion, crisis is a crucial turning point that is political, social, or economic and an emergency is an unexpected, serious situation. Both are included in National Preparedness and considered by the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and are results of crisis & emergencies. Counseling, recreational activities, hobbies, vacation, etc. can help elevate the effects and affects of these disorders, that are usually caused by something outside of our control.

Growing Up To Michael Jackson Music!

A great era in music has ended, Michael Jackson shaped much ofpl_michael-jackson[1] (2) music history since the 80’s. The music video Thriller, a short movie, changed the way music artist viewed the craft of music.

The Thriller Video was important in my life because a Dance Instructor of mine, Karen from Dance Wonderland, was in the Thriller Video. At that time I took ballet, tap, toe, and jazz. I also attended a Ballet School in Inglewood, California with a Russian Instructor, Ms. Whales.

Lessons of life:

jackson_michael[1] (2) Appreciate while alive: sold-out concerts, screaming fans, and the chance to live a childhood that was spent practicing and making music for the world’s enjoyment.

If you missed something, take time to experience it. A lesson from Michael Jackson, that is what he taught me!

Thank you to Michael Jackson for the music that is a part of many of my life’s memories.

The “King of Pop’s” Memories Live On.

There will be a memorial service held for Michael Jackson on July 7, 2009 at the Staple Center, there was a lottery for the ticketsimage685841g[1] (2) and the police will not let traffic during this time.

This date is important to me because it is also my birthday. May the Almighty God Bless and Keep Michael Jackson and his surviving family.

Michael Jackson and his family have had many stories written about them, good, bad, and neutral. As a “pop superstar”, whatever the truth is, he has still had an impact on many, many lives.

Pulitzer Prize Winning Time’s Team Member Escapes Kidnapping of Taliban in Afghanistan: David Rohde, Crisis Reporter

This topic is endorsed in part by the by Tres Mali Scott Pulitzer Center Citizen Journalist 2nd & 3rd Place Awarded
David Rohde was seized in Afghanistan by the Taliban and held in the North Waziristan region of Pakistan. After seven months, David Rohde and Tahir Ludin climbed over a wall and the nearby
Map picture
Pakistani Frontier Corps flew him to the American military base in Bagram, Afghanistan. David Rohde was the co-chief of the Time’s South Asia bureau from 2002-2005 and wrote for The Monitor.
The kidnapping was kept quiet due to the danger as other governments and officials were consulted about the situation. About 3 or 4 months ago, the Congress released a report aired on the Station that shows all the meetings held, that internationally many reporters and crisis reporters have been killed while exercising our freedom of the press.
David Rohde, years before had been taken prisoner when reporting in Bosnia. In other parts of the world, kidnapping is common and is referred to as an industry, it sounds like people make money from it. David Rohde was researching the history of American involvement in Afghanistan.   and have both published reports on the subject.
David Rohde was the “First” Western Journalist in Bosnian Serb territory, he searched and found evidence of mass graves that caused him to be turned over to the Bosnian Serb authorities and imprisoned. He was released after 10 days.
Other countries do not hold the same respect for freedom of information. United States of America has many faults and still needs improvement, but it still looks a lot better than the rest of the world.

From The Writings of African-Americans: Shona, Tswana, Hutu, Tutsi, & Twa: Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Rwanda

This topic is endorsed in part by The Writings of African-Americans, Crisis Reporting By Tres Mali Scott 2nd & 3rd Place Pulitzer Center Citizen Journalist Award Winner
In February of 2008 the Pulitzer Center endorsed a title about the civil wars, occurring in Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Rwanda. National Geographic has a publication, Book of Peoples of the World, A Guide To Cultures (2007), it has maps of each region and pictures of the native people in a natural scene.
Zimbabwe & Mozambique have a population of about 10 million that are primarily Shona people, nine million in Zimbabwe and southern Mozambique, and Tswana people in Zimbabwe. They speak Korekore, Ndau, and Karanga. The language of the Shona is one of the most widely spoken in southern Africa, and is evident by the number of people that are Shona. The Shona live mostly in
Map picture
villages and their traditional religion is vadzimu or ancestor spirits. The Shona also farm rice, peanuts and raise cattle, sheep, and chickens.
Rwanda has a population of 18 million and in 2004, as a result of the past genocide, Rwanda passed new legislation that forbids political parties from making any reference to ethnic, religious, regional, or clan differences in their names or operations. For several centuries, the Hutu and Tutsi have had a relationship of hostility and occasional violence, while living next door to each other.
Rwanda is known for some of the worst violence of the 20th Century. Following independence in 1962, two countries emerging that had been Rwanda were Urundi or Belgian East Africa. During this violence Hutu seized power. The people of Rwanda are made up of Hutu, Tutsi, & Twa.
In conclusion, the civil wars, deforestation, and the genocide of Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and Rwanda have had many at this time endorsing titles and topics that bring these issues to the attention of  the world. , The Writings of African-Americans, , , and have given many words of education on the subject.

Is The Late Pope John Paul II A Beati: The Tradition of Veneration For the Catholic Church In Rome

This topic is endorsed in part by The Writings of African-Americans by Tres Mali Scott

According to the Italian newspaper La Stampa the beatification of the late Pope John Paul II may be delayed. Pope Benedict XVI waived the five-year waiting period for the cause to begin.

The Traditions of Veneration leading to Sainthood include famous and obscure individuals that gave their lives for the Church, many are still Ranked as Blessed.

Our Sunday Visitor’s (1998) states that:

…process of canonization, the systematic examination by the church into worthiness of a candidate to be raised to the alters and venerated as a Saint

Canonization is an Ancient Custom, science and faith work together to examine miracles.

Beati Candidates are candidates who have been declared Blessed by the Church. Beatification is a part of cultus- Invocation & Intercession.

Catholics give adoration to God alone called worship or latria. Honor & Reverence dulia is accorded to the Saints. An elevated form of Honor & Reverence hyperdulia is given to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Pope Benedict XIV (1740-1758) codified the basic process of canonization. In 1588 the Congregation of Rites took oversight of the canonization process. If the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, Congregatio de Causis Sanctorum agrees with the:

  • investigations and findings of the local Bishops,
  • individual Dioceses,
  • consultations with other bishops,
  • the documented life of the proposed candidate, and
  • eyewitness accounts

than the candidate is given the title: “Servant of God”, and Rome then opens the cause.

Miracles are required and must be authenticated by competent sources:

  • medical practitioners and
  • competent consultants

The Vatican’s chief investigator for the late Pope John Paul II’s cause is Dominican Father Daniel Ols. May the Almighty God Bless and Keep all the investigators for the Cause of the late Pope John Paul II, I already call him a Saint.

LA County Public Defenders: Training on Homicide 101 at The Cathedral of Our Lady of The Angels

Los Angeles County Public Defenders had a training today at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Downtown, Los Angeles. Most of the Los Angeles County Buildings are within a three block radius of the Cathedral. The training was called "Homicide 101".

Per Mr. Sztraicher, the Cathedral is treated like other businesses that rent conference space. It was a full house. Even though it was Saturday morning, they still looked like attorneys and probation officers. The training looks like it reflects the diversity of the Public Defenders Officer.

There could be more minorities. Some define minority as:
  • women
  • non-white men
This reference is to Black non-hispanic. One way of systematic discrimination is to use other individual races to replace the orginal reason for Affirmative Action Laws. Hopefully people will have the courage to continue to remember why these laws exist and what happened to individuals who fought for these laws.

The Public Defenders Office, many times does not have a great relationship with the public because of sayings like, "you get what you pay for".  Training is a means of improving their ability to "Defend the Public".

The Taliban and It's War Against NATO

The Taliban ran the Afghanistan government from 1996-2001. The guerrilla war has Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International giving recommendations that include:
  • Cease using civilians as shields.
  • Take all feasible precautions to protect civilians from the effects of attack...
  • Affirm commitment to follow international humanitarian law...

The Super Movie of The Year: Star Trek

The new movie Star Trek is a super-movie. It has:

  • Outstanding casting as young representations of old characters.

  • The young Captin Kirk, Chris Pine gives William Shatner real competion for great acting in that role of-risk taking, depth or extreme stretching of Star Ship rules and regulaltions, use of relationships.

  • Individuals that watch and understand the originial Star Trek TV series can see realistic looking development into mature characters.

Star Trek is action packed, no time to get up and use the restroom, so you better go before the movie starts, and don't drink to much water.

Great Quote from the movie:

I am not our father!!!!!

This quote is used in the concept of meeting and understanding ourselves and remembering our emotions.

Star Trek gets from TMSC Security World Alert 7 Stars on the 7 Star system and Super Movie of the Year!!!!!

Local Government's Concerns about private school closings: Could cause public school over crowding

In Brooklyn, NY some of the Catholic schools are threatened with closure. The local government is concerned, the students would attend local schools that are already at near capacity. When the public systems had to improve the educational system they reduced class sizes (still not as small as private schools) and to make budget removed or reduced many extra curricula activities. The Diocesan and other Catholic schools may want to:
  • Increase class sizes, still less than the public schools and
  • Share extra curricula activities with other schools.
According to The Tidings Southern California Weekly one suggestion is for the Diocese of Brooklyn and the city of New York to cooperate and possibly convert the schools into charter schools.

What would be the long ter effects of Diocese Schools closing.

Some of Russia is Reuniting!?

Seven Countries in Russia are together. This can again become a military threat. Remember the cold war and the 1980s. They were scary times for The United States of America, now not only the Middle East, but also the reunited Russia can remind us of the Nuclear threats. Like Vatican City, The White House also has people for everything. The Los Angeles Times is already staying on top of the story.

What is a Digital Signal?????

A digital signal is a binary coded pulse that represents pictures, data, sound, and is a computer or communication system.

An analog signal is a continuously varying system. How does an analog signal become a digital signal?????
  • A Digitizer changes analog signals into digital or electronic signals. This was first developed by RAND Corporation in 1964.
To convert speech a microphone is used to break speech into voltages and the digitzer converts voltages into digital code-creating words on a computer screen.

Binary code is mathematical, a series of 0s and 1s and is considered universal.

Conficker Worm, the Worst Computer Plague Since The Slammer January 2003

The new digital plague a worm named "Conficker" infected computers and is the worst since the "Slammer" of January 2003.

  • guesses passwords for handheld gadgets like USB keys
  • as many as 9 million computers have been infected
  • unifed infected computers are called botnets
  • the botnets accept programming instructions from a clandestine master
Individuals that own or operate the computers may not be aware there is a problem. The botnets are not always detected.

9 million computers? That is a lot of equipment to replace.

W.D. Snodgrass, 1926-2009: Pulitzer Winning Poet and International Society of Poets Seminar Host 2008

I was nominated for Poet of the Year 2008 by the International Society of Poets. The Las Vegas Convention was very inspiring. Poets from all over the world attended.

I had the honor of attending W.D. Snodgrass, Pulitzer Prize Winners Poets seminar. He was 83 when he died last week.

His Pulitzer Prize is from his first book "Heart's Needle" in 1960. W.D. Snodgrass also was a professor at several universities, and like myself has two master's degrees.

W.D. Snodgrass, thank you for sharing your work, secrets of the craft, and time with aspiring poets like myself.

Bush and His Father's People, Obama and Clinton's People

Once in an interview with Larry King Live, the host made a joke that Bill Clinton would be the closes  thing we would get to a Black-American President. Most of Barack Obama's appointees come from the former Clinton Administration. I guess the thing that was closes is the thing most supportive. Bill Clinton did not look like he took the comment seriously.

Now we can stop looking like hipocrits to South Africa. We boycotted them and distroyed the economy because of the racial issues. They had a Black President before we did.
