The Economic Stimulus Act of 2008 and A Challange to Corporate America

The Economic Stimulus Act of 2008 Offers:
  • Tax Rebates,
  • Tax incentives,
  • Stimulate Business investment, and
  • Relief for mortgages.
Today on C-Span live the US House and Economic Stimulus Oversite Meetings were covered. Per Peter Orszag, White House Budget Director the Stimulus Act would also:
  • Assist Medicad,
  • Assist Law enforcement, and
  • Transportaiton Funding.
Earl Devaney, Stimulus Accountability Board, stated that to help prevent waste and fraud, a new website, that, the goal is for the general public to be able to also see Stimulus spending:
  • recovery.gov
The New York terrorist airplane bombing took the lives of many individuals that make financial decisions for the country. Has Corporate America replaced those finanical decisions makers?

The foundation of American capitalism has been distrubed. Not only is what the Federal, State, and Local governments have to offer important, but corporate America is now challanged to also interven.
