Slatest Morning Edition : Pakistan Captures Taliban Base

What is still being a called a war in Afghanistan has continued to move farther and farther into tribal regions of Pakistan, where it is believed Osama Bin Laden and other top al-Qaida leaders are hiding. The BBC reported that Pakistani troops captured "a major Taliban base in the north-western tribal region of Bajaur" after days of fierce fighting. "At least 15 militants and one solider were reported killed" in fighting that has caused hundreds of locals to flee the area. Now, the Pakistani troops are "advancing on the militants' main training area in the Damadola district." While troops and allies celebrate the victory, some analysts are arguing that recent successes are just pushing Taliban militants to other parts of the tribal belt that runs along the border of Afghanistan.
