Community: Stolen Rembrandt artwork recovered intact

Late Monday evening , the Watch Commander of Marina del Rey Sheriff's Station received information from an informant regarding the possible location of the stolen Rembrandt drawing entitled “The Judgment.” The artwork was stolen late Saturday evening, August 13, 2011, from a Marina del Rey hotel.
The Watch Commander along with the Investigating Detective responded to Encino around midnight, where they recovered the drawing. Early Tuesday morning an employee of the Linearis Institute verified the drawing.
No suspect(s) are in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
