Armed Robbery Suspects Sought

Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Newton Area detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the two suspects robbing a market in South Los Angeles.
On February 15, 2010, at 7 p.m., LAPD Newton Area patrol officers responded to a robbery call in the 4000 block of Main Street. Two male Black suspects in their mid 20s or early 30s, entered the store and both approached the cashier. One of the suspects pointed a handgun and demanded money. During the robbery, the suspect shot once, missing the clerk and the clerk complied with the suspect’s demands. There was a woman and a child standing next to the suspect when this robbery took place. No one was injured during this incident.
The suspects left the store with an undisclosed amount of money and got into a waiting vehicle with another unknown suspect. The car was described as a green four-door Pontiac Grand AM.

Detectives responded to the scene and are conducting an investigation.
